Mizoram DGP Flags Off 15 Electric Scooters for Various Police Stations and Aizawl Traffic Police

Aizawl, April 6, 2026:

Director General of Police (DGP) Mizoram, Mr. Sharad Agarwal, IPS, flagged off 15 Ather electric scooters today at 11:00 a.m. from the premises of the Police Headquarters. The scooters, procured under the Police Modernization scheme, are designated for use by various police stations and the Aizawl Traffic Police. 

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP stated that these electric scooters were purchased specifically to enhance women's safety and to ensure greater peace and security within the community. He urged the receiving units to utilize the vehicles effectively for patrolling and maintaining public order.
