Noida Police Arrest Four in Gay Dating App Fraud Bust

Noida, July 15, 2025:

Four persons have been arrested in Noida on the charges of their involvement in a fraudulent scheme using a gay dating app. 


In an X post on July 15, 2025;

Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate said

that the Noida Sector-24 police station team also recovered four mobile phones, two motorcycles, four fake number plates, ₹3,200 in cash, and illegal weapons from the accused.


The police operation targeted a gang exploiting the Grindr dating app, primarily used by gay, bisexual, and queer men, to deceive victims, defrauding them through false pretenses. 


Acting on intelligence, the Sector-24 police conducted a raid, leading to the arrest of the four suspects.


Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate emphasized their zero-tolerance policy toward fraudsters, with senior officials overseeing the investigation to ensure swift justice. 


The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to curb cyber-enabled crimes in the region, particularly those exploiting digital platforms like dating apps. 


Further investigationnis are on to identify additional victims and potential accomplices.


The public has been urged to remain cautious while using online platforms and report suspicious activities to the police.
