Drugs Worth Rs 6 Crore Seized in Assam

Sribhumi, July 1, 2025:

As part of its ongoing anti-drugs operation, Assam Police seized heroin worth ₹6 crore from Nilambazar in Sribhumi district of Assam. Three drug peddlers were arrested during the operation.

PBSHABD reports that police intercepted a vehicle near Lalpul and recovered 870 grams of heroin.

Police have indentified arrested individuals as:

Saleh Alam Laskar from Hailakandi

Iftikhar Ahmed Laskar from Hatigaon in Guwahati

Sabir Ahmed from Sribhumi

Police officials said the crackdown will continue under the state’s intensified anti-narcotics campaign.
